When I went to bed last night, the thermometer said 17/18 degrees c, and despite having a 13.5 tog duvet and 2 blankets, I was still physically shivering. Hmm, not good.
In the past few years, we have made big advances in the field of medicine. Laser eye surgery, keyhole surgery on the heart and lungs, replacement limbs, replacement valves on the heart, repairs to fractured skulls and wisdom tooth removal in under 30 minutes. Yet why havent we managed to do something to better isolate and quickly repair whatever tidy infections cause flu and colds and coughs and sneezes and snots ?
